What to Wear to an Interview

A few weeks ago, my sister-in-law asked me to go shopping with her to help her shop for the perfect outfit for a very important job interview. Being the great sister-in-law that I am ;), I of course went with her. We found her a really cute black pencil skirt, with a white buttoned down shirt, a lime green cardigan, and a skinny belt to tie it all together. She was interviewing for a high-level position, and needed to make a striking first impression. Looking professional but still stylish at the same time and looking her best. She indeed looked her best and got the job! Shoe Trend Alert

For the past week or so I’ve been on the hunt for a perfect pair of shoes. I wanted an open toe bootie to welcome in the warmer weather that has been approaching. I was looking for something specific, nothing too high, comfortable, something I can dress up for a night out on the town, or dress down with a pair of jeans. As I was window shopping online I fell in love with Madden Girl Platform Booties on the DSW website. I love the slouchy front, the thicker heal and the platform front.

After going to all the DSWs (the store didn’t carry this shoe), Marshalls and TJ Max in my area looking for something similar, I didn’t really find anything that suited me. DSW has some great shoes on sale though, I found a pair of Michael Kors heels that were marked down 70%! Although they were so fierce, it was still not what I was looking for.

In the end I decided to just order directly from the DSW website the Madden pair that initially caught my eye.

But, while on this mission for the perfect shoe I noticed
