What to Wear to an Interview

A few weeks ago, my sister-in-law asked me to go shopping with her to help her shop for the perfect outfit for a very important job interview. Being the great sister-in-law that I am ;), I of course went with her. We found her a really cute black pencil skirt, with a white buttoned down shirt, a lime green cardigan, and a skinny belt to tie it all together. She was interviewing for a high-level position, and needed to make a striking first impression. Looking professional but still stylish at the same time and looking her best. She indeed looked her best and got the job! While her credentials proved that she was definitely qualified and ultimately that is what gets someone hired, it’s super important to make that first impression unforgettable.

With today’s unemployment rate at an all time high, you must do everything in your power to have as much in your favor as possible. A top notch resume that is customized towards each position that you are applying for is what Continue reading

Save Your Shoes & $$$

I know that after spending the amount of money that I do on shoes, I want to keep them nice and new forever.  I got a great pair of boots from Macy’s in December. When I was in Vegas this past February, the Bellagio escalator ate the rubber part at the bottom of my heel (I guess these are technically called heel taps?).  If I was an impulse buyer with money to blow, I would’ve bought a new pair of boots; however  I don’t have the mula to do that, so I called on Phil the Shoe Repairman!

With the economy right now, the shoe repair business is BOOMING and why wouldn’t it be?  Many of the shoes you wear to work are classic styles that you continue to wear for a good amount of time.  Its really unnecessary to buy NEW shoes when your old/current ones can be fixed at a WAY lower rate.

It will cost about $12.00 to have my shoes fixed versus the $85.00-$90.00 I would have to pay for NEW knee high boots.    You can find shoe repairmen/women in your area by searching the index in your local phone book or of course by googling it here on the web.

Take a look in your closet to see what shoes you can revive.  It is worth it!

Maintaining Your Pum Pum!

I want to start this out with a brief definition of “Pum Pum.” According to http://www.urbandictionary.com the definition of Pum Pum is

Pum Pum (pronounced Poom Poom)

(noun) 1. Jamaican term for the female sexual organ

e.g. “Mi haffi get pum pum tonight.”

I’ll use the word pum pum in this post in replace of “bush,” “vagina,” “pubic hair,” and/or “va-jay-jay” etc. Its my favorite word for my goodies introduced to me by Karina from Lush360 (my bff).

If you are offended easily you may want to stop reading at this point. I am here to talk about maintaining your pum pum hair. Its going to get ugly and somewhat vulgar…but nonetheless VERY entertaining and informative. 🙂 I also solemnly swear to not post pictures of my own pum pum (or anyone else’s)! Continue reading
